What you will do
- Understand user needs and generate new feature ideas;
- Build products that help people get jobs and/or help employers make hires;
- Create simple solutions;
- Validate ideas by performing experiments and analyzing the results;
- Make data-driven decisions;
- Define product goals and metrics;
- Communicate well and influence colleagues and executives;
- Work closely with stakeholders on the data demand side (Sales leadership and analysts; and data scientists) and supply side (experts on source systems);
- Be able to design and build efficient data pipelines (ETLs) in order to understand data from a variety of sources into Indeed’s Data Warehouse, Machine Learning Pipeline or Applications;
- Be able to optimize performance of API’s and integrations with UI’s.;
- Understand highly reusable code modules and packages that can be leveraged across the data pipeline;
- Develop and maintain data dictionaries for governance of published data sources as well as improve continuous release and testing processes.
Must haves
- Ideally a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or an engineering discipline;
- 5+ years industry experience in software development and/or data engineering with strong expertise in fast-paced and deliver-focused environments;
- Proficiency in SQL, data manipulation, data visualization tools (eg Python, Tableau or a Business;
- Intelligence background)” into the Requirements section;
- Extensive experience in writing technical documentation;
- Extensive experience building an ETL from scratch;
- 1+ years of consumer or enterprise internet software product management experience;
- Deep understanding of web technologies;
- Outstanding data analysis skills;
- Proven leadership skills.
Nice to haves
- 5+ years of experience with:
- Python 3.x;
- Airflow;
- Snowflake;
- Experience in Google BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform;
- Experience in Docker;
- Experience in Pandas, Numpy;
- Experience in Gitlab CI;
- Experience in AWS cloud platform (SQS, S3 services);
- Experience in Ishbook;
- Experience with Jupyter Notebooks;
- Product Owner certificate.
